I was listening to a podcast and they were talking about wanting a new codex for the Blood Angels. I found this new Blood Angels codex that is a free download by games-workshop.

The date stamp on the page source code is 2009-10-11. So, I am guessing this just got posted yesterday. Looks to be good. Blood Angels rejoice!
That's the current Blood Angels codex that was originally posted in a White Dwarf and now seems to have been posted on the GW site finally. Since the current one is regarded as sub-par by many there will be a new codex coming out sometime this year.
The new codex will be in actual book format and (most likely have) a more competitive rule system.
I guess the question would be why? Why post a codex that has been updated (or so it says on the front cover) to 5th Edition and then later make a new codex in book form to sell? Someone had to take the effort to update the free codex to fifth edition. Couldn't that effort have been devoted to updating a different codex to give away free? Say a Tau codex?
